Review

Horror in retail feels obvious once you play it. Fluorescents buzz, signage points everywhere and nowhere, and the map rolls out as a chain of liminal spaces. Co op sells the tension when a teammate yells from two aisles over. The sanity meter spices up decisions, since panic can break a run even without a monster in sight. Pacing alternates between quiet scavenging and sharp sprints once lights cut.
It is early, so systems may shift. Enemy patterns could use variety, and success will depend on how new episodes broaden routes and tools. Still, the demo shows clean audio work and enough puzzle threads to keep groups talking over voice chat instead of speedrunning.
Verdict: a neat co op scare machine that lives or dies on fresh episodes and sound design.
