Review

Blight: Survival works because reads are clear and consequences matter. You check footing, watch stamina, and split aggro rather than mash. Shields catch arrows, spears keep space, and axes crush, and every weapon carries real weight. Noise and line of sight govern stealth. Bushes, light levels, and route selection decide if you bypass a patrol or end up in a scrum, and the best runs are the ones where you string clean choices together. Co‑op is the pressure valve. One player baits, one flanks, and both get to breathe when a perfect parry turns a bad pull into momentum.
The roguelite layer keeps you moving. Temporary unlocks tilt a run toward a theme without making you untouchable, and death taxes feel tuned to sting but not erase progress. Map knowledge matters, with shortcuts, locked doors, and better exits making later attempts smarter rather than simply stronger. A couple of caveats. Balance can wobble if certain weapons or perks trivialize crowds, and repetition waits if mid‑run events do not rotate. On PC, the Steam page is light on specs, which tracks with an in‑development build.
Verdict: grim, tactile co‑op slasher that rewards patience and clean teamwork.
