Death Stranding 2: On the Beach
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is confirmed for PlayStation 5 (releasing June 26, 2025) and PC (releasing March 19, 2026). Developed by Kojima Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. A sequel that leans harder into route‑building, convoy logistics, and weird science. Review

The first game worked because walking was the point, and the sequel looks ready to double down. Vehicles add range and risk, bridges and ziplines turn into the old delight of building a road where none should be, and the world still fights back with wind, rain, and BT drama. The quiet is the hook. Long stretches with only footsteps and a song, then a spike of panic when a slope goes wrong.
Systems are familiar enough that small changes matter. Better wheels, smarter weather reads, and thicker social tools can turn a punishing valley into a shared triumph. Boss set‑pieces will still go loud, but the magic sits in the downtime when you decide to take one more hill.
Caveats: no Steam page for PC yet, so specs are unknown, and open‑world performance lives or dies on streaming. If the story leans too far into opaque lore, some players will bounce. Even so, the shape is clear. Plan the line, commit, and trust your legs.
Verdict: patient, strange traversal that only Kojima’s team builds with this much conviction.
