Satisfactory left Early Access on September 10, 2024 for PC (Steam). Coffee Stain Studios turns factory zen into a first‑person sprawl, where belts, trains, and pipes mesh into a machine that never quite behaves. You start with a hand miner and end with a skyline of tangled steel.

Review

The magic is pace. Early hours are small and scrappy. Then you unlock trains and fluids and suddenly a neat starter patch looks like a wiring accident. It feels good to fix a jam with one smart splitter chain. It feels even better to delete half the site and rebuild wider. Combat and exploration serve the factories, not the other way around.
Co‑op makes it social. One player chases oil, another cleans a bus, and a third plays traffic controller. The map is big enough to hide headaches and happy accidents. Performance holds up, though mega‑bases can make older GPUs sweat. The game remains clear about what you need next, yet it leaves room for weird solutions.
Caveats: conveyor clutter can tank frames, and late‑game planning still wants an external calculator if you love perfect ratios. Even so, it hits that loop of plan, build, tweak, repeat.
Verdict: factory building at its most addictive.
