Deathground releases on October 7, 2025 for PC (Steam, Early Access). Developed and published by Jaw Drop Games. A tense co‑op dinosaur horror where up to four players sneak through decaying facilities, complete objectives, and extract before the hunters close in. Sound and sightlines rule. You crawl under pipes, bait a patrol, then freeze when claws scrape on concrete two rooms away. Tools buy time: motion detector pings, a tranq rifle for bad angles, and hacks that crack doors while a teammate watches your back.

Review

Deathground clicks when a squad respects the map. You read camera arcs, count footfalls, and move as a stack when the AI gets curious. Dinosaurs hunt on noise and line of sight, so panic sprints rarely pay. The best moments are small: a door held one second too long, a vent detour that saves a run, a last‑second revive before a raptor rounds the corner. Objectives randomize just enough to keep you guessing, and loadouts push clear roles without locking you in.
Presentation carries tension. Flashlights carve narrow cones, alarms blare across metal corridors, and the soundtrack swells once then backs off to let footsteps do the work. Solo is viable but slower, the kind of run where you talk to yourself. Co‑op is the point. Good comms beat big guns.
Caveats: Early Access means balance will wobble and content will expand over the next months. Expect the odd desync in crowded moments and shader warm‑up on first boot. Still, the hunt‑and‑hide rhythm is strong. Plan a route, trust the call, and make extraction feel earned.
Verdict: anxious, readable dino horror built for squads that think before they run.
