PEAK hits because every step feels like a choice. The climb asks for small, honest reads: a grip that looks safe, a ledge that probably holds, wind that may shove you at the worst time. Stamina ticks down and you feel it in your hands. When someone falls, the scramble to anchor a rope and save the run becomes its own little story. Proximity chat keeps the mood loose, and friends‑only co‑op avoids the usual public‑lobby chaos.

Routes are readable without being obvious. Four biomes stack different hazards, so you swap items and habits as you go. Food buys a bit of safety. Spikes open lines that looked impossible ten minutes earlier. The daily island rotation adds rhythm. Fail, laugh, try again, and you start spotting smarter paths.

Presentation is clean. SFX sell the height, and the camera lets you peek just enough to plan without ruining the surprise. Solo play works, slower and riskier, but still tense in a good way.
