Witchspire
Witchspire enters Early Access on June 10, 2026 on PC. Developed and published by Envar Games, it’s a co-op open-world witch adventure where you explore a hand-crafted magical land, fight and befriend creatures, and build a sanctuary with your coven. The loop blends light survival resource pressure with spell-driven mobility, conjuring forests for materials, blinking out of danger, and using magic as both traversal and utility while corruption spreads under the surface.

Review

Witchspire is positioned as a co-op-first adventure, and that framing is smart. Open-world survival games often feel lonely unless they’re built for groups from the ground up. Here, “coven” play is the point: exploring together, building a shared home, and letting different witches specialize instead of everyone doing everything.
What makes the pitch interesting is how it treats magic as a practical toolset. Spells aren’t just combat buttons. They’re movement, resource gathering, and problem-solving. That can keep exploration lively, because you’re not simply running across a map to chop trees. You’re changing the environment and changing how you traverse it, which is a more satisfying kind of progression.
Creature bonds are another good hook, as long as they’re meaningful. If companions change how you fight and how you gather resources, they become part of your build, not just collectibles. The game also mentions a branching tech tree and player leveling, which could give long-term structure to a genre that sometimes relies on pure self-directed goals.
The gentle caveat is content cadence. Early Access co-op games need steady updates, because groups burn through what’s available quickly. The other caveat is clarity under chaos. With spells, effects, and multiple players, fights can turn into visual noise if enemy tells and hazards aren’t readable.
If Envar nails readability and keeps the world dense with things worth discovering, Witchspire could be a great “weekly co-op hangout” game.
Verdict: A promising co-op witch adventure with a practical, mobility-first magic toolkit, with Early Access success depending on content cadence and clean readability in busy fights.
