Transport Fever 3 releases on September 29, 2026, for PC, macOS, Linux, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Developed by Urban Games and published by Paradox Interactive, this transport management simulation puts players in control of a growing logistics empire spanning more than 125 years of technological development. Trains, buses, trams, trucks, ships, aircraft, helicopters, and more than 275 vehicles can be connected through increasingly complex passenger and cargo networks. Smarter cities, individual citizen simulation, more than 35 industries, offshore production, dynamic weather, day and night cycles, traffic management, warehouses, company progression, contracts, modular infrastructure, campaign missions, sandbox play, map creation, and expanded cross-platform mod support significantly broaden the economic systems established by Transport Fever 2.

Review

Transport Fever 3 expands the series in the area that matters most: how transportation affects everything around it. Building a profitable railway is no longer the entire problem. Growing cities develop changing demands, and successful networks must account for passenger happiness, delivery times, congestion, noise, pollution, maintenance costs, and reputation.

Cargo logistics have become more involved as well. More than 35 industries include offshore operations such as oil platforms and fishing grounds, while warehouses and specialized terminals make intermediate storage a practical part of network design. Production can respond to workers and optional inputs, giving supply chains more room to develop beyond simply connecting two points.

Cities now simulate individual inhabitants with homes, workplaces, and destinations. That should make road congestion and public transportation decisions easier to understand because players can follow how people actually move through the network.

The vehicle selection remains one of the series’ strongest features. More than 275 trains, trucks, buses, trams, ships, planes, and helicopters span over a century, while infrastructure evolves alongside them.

Dynamic weather, four climate zones, day and night cycles, improved traffic behavior, lane control, modular stations, and stronger landscaping tools make large networks more visually convincing too.

The main concern is complexity. The deeper economic model could overwhelm players who mainly enjoyed Transport Fever 2 as a relaxed sandbox, although adjustable difficulty and the ability to disable the economy should help.

Verdict: A significantly deeper transport simulation that makes cities, cargo, traffic, industries, and company management respond more directly to the networks players build.
