Terminator: Survivors
Terminator: Survivors releases in 2025 (postponed) on PC (Steam, Early Access). PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will follow. Developed by Nacon Studio Milan and published by Nacon. Set a few years after Judgment Day, it drops you into a ruined America where Skynet patrols hunt anything that moves. You scavenge, secure a base, and try to keep a small crew alive while other human factions complicate every plan. Solo works, but the game leans toward co op raids for parts, intel, and a chance to poke the machines without getting erased.

Review

Terminator: Survivors plays it straight: tense survival in wide, hostile spaces. The loop is simple on paper. Scout a route, hit a target, and make it back before a patrol pins you. The difference is the pressure. A T‑800 does not bluff. Noise matters, sightlines matter, and a bad sprint turns into a chase you will not win. The map helps the stories write themselves, from hushed neighborhoods to empty overpasses where a drone might silhouette you against the sky.
Base work is the glue. You patch walls, route power, and decide what to craft before the next run. Progression pushes smarter choices rather than bigger bars. Find a scope, wire a sensor, set a fallback. It sells the fantasy of scraping by between impossible fights. Co op adds the right kind of chaos, with roles forming naturally: spotter, looter, overwatch, pack mule when things go sideways.
Caveats are clear. It is Early Access on PC, so balance will swing and objectives will repeat until updates land. AI pathing can make or break stealth beats, and the wrong lighting can hide tells. Specs on Steam are still TBD, so performance targets are guesswork for now. Even so, when you time a crossing, slip past a patrol, and hear metal footsteps fade, it clicks.
Verdict: grounded, tense survival with room to grow.
