Solo Leveling - Arise Overdrive
Solo Leveling – Arise Overdrive releases on November 24, 2025 for PC (Steam), with Advanced Access on November 21, 2025 for the Deluxe buyers. Developed by Netmarble Neo and published by Netmarble. You play as Sung Jinwoo, an E‑Rank hunter climbing toward the Monarch of Shadows. The story follows the webtoon arc, then branches into new chapters. Combat is fast, focused on perfect dodges, clean parries, and weapon skills that pop off in quick chains. Co‑op raids bring four players against Commander‑tier bosses, and a crafting loop lets you turn drops into named blades like Kasaka’s Venom Fang.

Review

Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE hits quick. Movement is snappy, counters feel loud, and blades carve through mobs with satisfying knockback. The skill tree opens into eight job paths, so you can lean into big crits or safer sustain. Raids add a second gear. Positioning matters, tells are readable, and a bad dodge still hurts. When it clicks, you get that power fantasy the series promises.
It is not all clean. The UI stacks a lot of submenus, and controller navigation still feels busy. Early dungeons repeat tiles and enemy packs, so variety takes a few hours to arrive. The gear treadmill can turn grindy if you chase perfect rolls. Co‑op helps, but matchmaking lives or dies on population.
On the technical side, the Steam build lists Easy Anti‑Cheat with kernel level drivers, which some players will side‑eye. Performance is light on a modern rig, and the 40 GB size plus SSD flag keeps loads short. What carries the run is flow, not novelty. You dash, parry, punish. Then you craft a better knife and do it again.
Verdict: sharp combat and decent raids, a little menu‑heavy, but easy to sink into.
