Killer Bean
Killer Bean launches in Early Access on June 8, 2026 on PC. Developed and published by Killer Bean Studios, it’s a violent, tongue-in-cheek action game that treats gunfights like slapstick choreography: fast movement, big impacts, and enemies that exist to be outplayed in the most ridiculous way possible. You play as Killer Bean, an ex-hitman caught in a conspiracy, bouncing between story missions and combat-heavy modes where the real joy is in treating every room like a stunt scene.

Review

Killer Bean has the kind of premise that only works if the game embraces how stupid it is, and it seems happy to do that. The tone is violent cartoon energy, but the gameplay pitch is surprisingly serious: you’re meant to move constantly, control space, and turn gunfights into a flow of quick decisions rather than slow cover peeking.
If it lands, it’ll be because of feel. A fast action shooter lives on clean input, readable enemies, and a physics/animation layer that makes chaos understandable. The best arenas in games like this aren’t just “more enemies.” They’re shaped problems: angles to clear, tools to use, and moments where you decide to take a risk because it’s faster, even if it’s dangerous.
Early Access is the obvious variable. It’s a format that can work well for a combat-first game, because tuning matters more than story completeness. Hit reactions, AI aggression, difficulty curves, and progression rewards all need iteration. The other concern is content variety. If the game relies too much on one kind of firefight, players will solve it quickly. It needs different enemy types, different spaces, and enough modes to keep the movement and gunplay from feeling repetitive.
Verdict: A fast, ridiculous action shooter that could be genuinely fun if its combat feel is sharp and its Early Access updates keep adding variety and better tuning.
