Forgive Me Father 2 has arrived on consoles, bringing its graphic-novel horror and thumping boomer-shooter pacing to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Publisher Fulqrum and developer Byte Barrel confirmed the launch today alongside a brief roadmap note: the Nintendo Switch version is planned for a later date, while PC continues on its own update track. For console players, this is the complete 1.0 experience built around fast arena skirmishes, aggressive enemy swarms, and a palette that leans into thick black outlines and saturated gore.
What’s in the console build
The PS5 and Xbox Series versions carry the core campaign and the signature weapon sandbox, from close-range room cleaners to long-reach crowd tools that reward constant movement and quick target swaps. Difficulty tuning remains punchy, with frequent checkpoints and the quicksave system smoothing the harsher spikes while keeping the pressure on. On the presentation side, the comic-panel art direction translates cleanly to big screens, and the thick-stroke shading helps readability when arenas get busy with particles and dismemberment.
If you bounced off the first game’s late-run grind, the sequel’s upgrade economy is tighter and pushes you to experiment rather than hoard; it’s still a game that expects you to commit to a route and live with it through a level. Controller handling benefits from sensible defaults, and aim response feels tuned for snap adjustments rather than micro-flicks, which suits the rhythm of strafing, kiting, and quick reload cancels.
As with any launch-day shooter, balance patches are likely as more players hit the back half of the campaign and stress the nastier encounter mixes. For the moment, though, Forgive Me Father 2 lands on current-gen consoles as a confident, blood-spattered follow-up—one that knows exactly what it wants to be and doesn’t slow down long enough to overexplain it.
