The Adventures Of Elliot: The Millennium Tales launches on June 18, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Square Enix is pushing it as a new HD-2D action RPG with real-time combat, dungeon exploration, puzzle-driven progression, and a story centered on Elliot and his fairy companion Faie.
Denuvo Is Already Listed
On PC, the Steam page already includes “Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Denuvo Anti-tamper.” That means the DRM situation is not just a rumor from key shops or community speculation. Denuvo is currently part of the Steam listing before launch, alongside the usual third-party EULA.
For Square Enix, this is not exactly shocking. The publisher has used Denuvo on several PC releases, especially around launch windows, and The Adventures Of Elliot now joins that same group. The question is whether the DRM stays long-term or eventually gets removed later, as we’ve seen with some older titles.
What It Means For PC Players
The concern here is less about whether Denuvo exists and more about how the PC version behaves with it enabled. This is not a massive open-world game, but HD-2D titles still benefit from smooth pacing, clean frame timing, fast transitions, and stable performance during exploration and combat.
Some players will ignore the DRM completely if the port runs well. Others will wait for launch-day reports before buying, especially if they care about offline play, activation limits, and long-term preservation. Denuvo does not automatically mean the game will perform badly, but it does give PC players one more thing to watch when reviews and benchmarks start appearing.
