Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is on the way for PC and current-gen consoles, and the PC fine print is already doing the rounds: Denuvo is listed for the launch build. That puts Ubisoft’s pirate remake right back in the familiar debate zone before anyone even touches the final version.
On the Steam listing, the game is tagged with “Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Denuvo Anti-tamper”, alongside an activation limit and the usual Ubisoft account requirements. In plain terms, this is being positioned as a day-one Denuvo release — the kind of setup that can be invisible for most players, but annoying for anyone who reinstalls Windows often, swaps hardware frequently, or moves between devices.
And here’s the extra wrinkle people are already bringing up: if the recent pattern repeats, this could end up being another title that shows up with Hypervisor builds before launch, the same way Pragmata did when Hypervisor testers started circulating ahead of release. That doesn’t mean it will happen — there’s no public confirmation of any Hypervisor release for Black Flag Resynced right now — but Denuvo being locked in early tends to pull that kind of attention.
