Review

Falling Frontier builds its drama from fog of war. You rarely see the whole picture, so recon stations, patrols, and informant ships become the backbone of any plan. When contacts appear, weapon arcs, armor facings, and subsystem damage turn exchanges into quick, consequential trades. The combat reads well at a glance and gets crunchy once you zoom in, which is a good sign for long campaigns. Logistics ties the map together. Fuel and ammo move along routes that can be raided or blockaded, and a single cut line can stall an offensive you spent hours preparing.
The ship designer gives real flavor without drowning you in slots, and the UI surfaces the right numbers for readiness, detection, and supply. Two caveats. Pathfinding and target selection need to stay readable under stress, and the campaign structure will have to pace battles and rebuilds so you do not live in menus. If Stutter Fox sticks the landing on AI and economy, this could be a standout strategy game with its own voice.
Verdict: focused, systems‑first RTS where scouting and supply win wars.
