Review

Dark Moon is about pressure and motion. The light kills, so every plan starts with a timer, and your base never feels safe for long. The strategy layer is clean. You bolt structures onto the Mechaplex, research, and pick upgrades that skew your run toward extraction speed, mining, or crew utility. Drones scout ahead to reveal hazards and optional events, and decisions often have a moral edge that sticks with you. Combat is minimal by design, which keeps focus on logistics and routing.
Runs build identity fast. A lucky survivor might unlock a new platform slot, or a mineral vein can fund a tech pivot that changes how you approach the next stretch. The presentation sells metal and dust, with sound that makes the vacuum feel hostile. Two caveats. If event variety stalls, repetition creeps in, and the fixed camera during some sequences can feel stiff. Balance looks fair on paper, though the economy will need tuning if players find a dominant path.
Verdict: tense lunar survival strategy that turns sunlight into a predator.
