Wreckreation launches on October 28, 2025 for PC (Steam). It is developed by Three Fields Entertainment and published by THQ Nordic. You build and race across a 400 km² MixWorld, stacking stunt pieces, laying roads on land and sea, and flipping from solo runs to chaotic online races where everyone can drop ramps, loops, and hazards on the fly.

Review

Wreckreation is a sandbox first, racer second. The best moments come from player‑made chaos, when a clean stretch turns into a gauntlet because someone dropped a corkscrew and a bus stop in the same lane. Handling is readable and weighty enough to make near‑misses satisfying, and the camera sells speed without hiding track tells. Building is quick. Snapping pieces, tweaking angles, and sharing routes feel low friction, so a session naturally swings between creating and driving.
Pacing depends on your group. With friends, MixWorld becomes a party toy where you set mini‑goals and chase Wreckords. Solo, it leans on exploration, billboard hunts, and curated challenges. Two caveats. Server stability will make or break launch weeks, and a sandbox this open needs moderation tools to keep public lobbies fun. If post‑launch curation and featured tracks rotate well, the mix of driving and tinkering has legs.
Verdict: big, playful racing sandbox with strong building tools.
