Review

Towerborne’s fights feel immediate. Light strings, guarded heavies, and a dodge that earns space when you time it. The four styles push identity without locking you in, so a session can pivot from crowd control to burst damage with a single swap. The Belfry hub ties it together, handing out missions and letting you tune gear between loops.
Progress rides on short bursts. Clear an area, bank rewards, watch the map change. The art sells warmth even when the route gets mean, and the soundtrack keeps pace rather than shouting. Online play benefits from readable enemy tells, which helps mixed groups keep rhythm.
Caveats: Early Access balance moves often, and UI clicks pile up when you manage inventories after long sessions. Controller is the way to go. Even with those edges, it’s an easy game to settle into for a night.
Verdict: friendly, flexible brawler with a steady loop.
