High On Life 2 releases on February 13, 2026 for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Developed and published by Squanch Games, Inc. Day one on Xbox Game Pass for console and PC. Five years after the first game, you’re back with a louder set of living guns and a bigger mess to clean up. Levels sprawl into louder hubs, skating and movement tech speed up fights, and the writing leans hard into sci‑fi grime with jokes that actually land more often than not.

Review

High On Life 2 fixes the thing that needed it: flow. Encounters chain better, arenas give you rails and ramps to keep momentum, and the guns push distinct playstyles instead of palette swaps. The new rifle, Sheath, sets the pace. Shots hit crisp, the alt fire pins enemies, and the zipline trick turns a bad angle into a clean exit. Other Gatlions hold their own with deeper upgrades and barks that don’t repeat every two minutes.
The world is busier. You skate from loud markets into weird side alleys, pick up odd favors, and stumble into setpieces that look expensive without dragging. Comedy still swings between sharp and juvenile. That is the series. It helps that delivery is tighter and side quests waste less time. Bosses read fair once you learn patterns, and difficulty bumps reward aggression rather than hiding behind cover.
Caveats: bits will miss, and some jokes overstay their welcome. On PC, shader caching can hiccup on first run and performance will depend on how clean your DirectX 12 setup is. The Steam build lists only minimum specs for now, so tuning will matter close to launch. Still, when movement, gun chatter, and music sync up, it clicks.
Verdict: faster, louder, and more confident, with enough bite to back the jokes.
