Rockstar lists Grand Theft Auto VI for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on May 26, 2026. There is no PC release date on the official page. That is the whole on-the-record picture today.
So what can PC players reasonably expect? Rockstar’s pattern is a staggered rollout. The studio ships on consoles first, then brings an upgraded PC version later once content and tech stabilize. That is not a guarantee for GTA 6 release date, but it is how the last three mega-releases went.

New report: “early 2026” belief from Corsair
According to a report from Video Games Chronicle, Corsair Gaming told investors it believes the PC version will arrive in early 2026, after the console release. The line was shared from Corsair’s financial remarks and framed as the company’s expectation, not an official Rockstar announcement.
Yeah, GTA 6 is probably the one everyone is talking about. And we’ll get a glimpse of that, I think, later on in the year for console. My understanding now it’s going to come out in the fall for console, and then early 2026 for PC.

What that could mean
If Corsair’s belief is close to the mark, the PC wait might be shorter than GTA V and Red Dead 2. A window in early 2026 would put the PC version close to, or even before, some players’ current expectations that stretch into 2027. It would also align with a strategy where Rockstar locks the console launch and follows up once drivers, anti-cheat, and PC-specific features are ready.
There is still no official PC date. The only dated platforms remain PS5 and Xbox Series X|S for May 26, 2026, per Rockstar’s site. But with VGC reporting Corsair’s “early 2026” belief on the record, this could be the cycle where GTA 6 arrives on PC sooner than expected, possibly within 2026 rather than a long tail into 2027.
