The game comes from Yuke’s, with Arc System Works as publisher. This is a full 3D reimagining of the classic brawler. You take Billy and Jimmy Lee back into the fight, brawling through ruined streets and neon alleys. Familiar enemies like Linda and Raymond return, along with new faces. The combat has been rebuilt for fluid 3D movement, chaining combos, counters, and brutal finishers that keep every encounter tense.

Review

Double Dragon Revive shakes the old arcade repeat but keeps that punchy energy you remember. The Lee brothers step back into a world drawn from the ruins of a post-apocalyptic city. You move sidescrolling, but now in full 3D with fluid combat, environmental takedowns, and close-quarters combos that keep you engaged.

The Dodgeball mini-game shows extra care—it’s a rapid blast of nostalgia and goofy fun. Controls feel tight whether you’re swinging a pipe or dodging wheelchairs. Environments have detail too. Trash piles at your feet, neon signs flicker, and timed events break up repeat fights.

Performance on PC is solid—target 60 fps on mid-range hardware. No glaring slowdowns, even when the action heats up. Whatever downside exists is in the damage system—enemy counterattacks can feel unfair at first. Still, staying precise rewards you, and advanced players will love weaving through crowd waves.

Could’ve used more story beats or new modes beyond the brawls. But when the music hits and broken thug falls at your feet, it feels just right.

Verdict: Double Dragon Revive revives classic brawler DNA with fresh roots. Fast, detailed, and faithful in a modern way.
